It is often used for the stamping dies, plastic molds, and so on. High-Carbon High-Chromium alloy steel,SKD11 JIS Standard SKD11 steel is a semi-stainless high-speed tool steel capable of being treated to 64 HRC by Japanese knifemakers. It is very similar to D2 steel of AISI.
