Marine Grade Hot Rolled Ship Building Steel Plate LR AH36
Ship building steel plate has a strict control on chemical composition of steel as per requirements of domestic and international shipbuilding standards CCS, GL, BV, ABS, DNV, LR, NK, KR, RINA or GB712. This use of controlled-rolling and controlled- cooling process as per carbon equivalent in hot-rolling leads to stable chemical composition and excellent mechanical properties of the ship steel plate.
The surface of ship building steel plates is flat, the edge is even, and the diagonal bias is small. The precision of the ship building steel size is high, and the thickness difference of the same plate is small. The ship building steel, with about 0.1% copper, has a good corrosion resistance. The ship building steel also has a good welding performance with a low carbon equivalent.

What is the difference between A36 and AH36?
Actually, there is no difference between marine steel AH36 and A36 shipbuilding steel. They are same material, the chemical composition and mechanical property comply with standard ASTM A131/A131M. There is different version as AH36 and A36, that mainly caused by diffirent classification societies.
GNEE STEEL keeps more than 10,000 tons hot rolled and cold rolled ABS AH36, AB/FH36 shipbuilding steel in stock each month.
