Diesel Engine Driven Double Gypsy Marine Anchor Windlass Ship Deck Equipment
Description:
This marine anchor windlass, available with either a double or single gypsy, is powered by a diesel engine. There are two primary drive configurations. Type 1 utilizes the engine to drive the windlass through a transmission gearbox and worm gear. Type 2 involves the engine powering a hydraulic power unit, which in turn drives a hydraulic motor to operate the windlass. The engine's rated power is selected based on the windlass's overload figure according to class rules. Engine-driven anchor winches are a key focus of our product line, especially for use on barges.
We use internationally renowned diesel engine brands such as Deutz and Cummins, known for their compact size and structure. Alternatively, local brands like Weichai and Changcha are cost-effective options. The engine is equipped with a silencer to reduce noise levels and protect the crew's health. Spare parts for local brand engines are widely available worldwide.

Installation and Maintenance Precautions:
We invite shipowners to conduct comprehensive inspections of the windlass for full process and performance before shipment.
During installation on the ship, ensure a wrap angle between the anchor chain and the sprocket of 117-120 degrees.
Ensure alignment of the three points (chain cylinder, chain brake, and sprocket) when leading out the anchor chain.
The windlass should be able to operate continuously for 30 minutes under rated tension and speed and for 2 minutes under an overload tension of at least 1.5 times the rated tension. Additionally, the windlass should be equipped with overload protection and capable of medium-speed operation.
Provide technical training for operators as required by shipyards and shipowners. Commission engine, hull, and electrical personnel according to instructions.
During operation, ensure smooth rotation and quick, seamless switching for the windlass, both forward and reverse.
