Theory
• Electric Servo Control:The working principle of the electric strut is based on electric servo control,which involves single-chip control modules that manage functions such as switch control,remote control,anti-pinch,light control induction,and smooth operation.
• Balance Spring:Inside the strut,there is a balance spring that serves to balance the weight of the tailgate.
• Motor Operation:The motor controls the rotation of the screw rod,converting the rotating force into longitudinal expansion and contraction,which enables the tailgate to open and close.
• Control Module(ECU):The electric struts are connected to a control module or an electronic control unit(ECU)that manages the operation of the tailgate.This module serves as the brain of the system,interpreting signals and controlling the electric struts accordingly.
• Control Mechanism:The control mechanism allows the user to initiate the opening or closing of the tailgate through various means,including remote control,vehicle key fob,buttons or switches,and optional foot sensors for hands-free operation.
• Position Feedback:The control module often receives feedback from position sensors on the struts,indicating the current position of the tailgate.This feedback is crucial for ensuring precise control and safety during the opening and closing processes.
• Adjustable Parameters:Some electric tailgate systems allow users to adjust parameters such as the opening height or speed of the tailgate,which can be done through the control module or a dedicated app.
• Safety Features:Electric tailgate struts are designed with safety features to prevent accidents or injuries,including obstacle detection and anti-pinch functions.
• Strut Module:The electric strut module is composed of components like the ball joint,Hall sensor,drive motor,gear box,screw,nut,and booster spring.The drive motor receives instructions from the controller module to rotate forward and backward,and through the gear box,it drives the screw and nut to rotate relative to each other,pushing the electric strut to axially extend or contract.
• Suction Lock Module:The electric pull-in lock module is composed of the tail door lock assembly,the lock assembly,the pull-in motor,and the winding wire.This allows the tailgate to be electrically closed from the half-locked state to the fully-locked state by the pull-in motor.
• Anti-Pinch Function:The electric strut module has a built-in Hall sensor with Hall anti-pinch function.If an obstacle is detected during the closing of the tailgate,the internal conductor contacts and conducts,and the controller module(ECU)receives the signal to control the electric strut to reverse and open the tail door.
