Smart Solar Power Data Concentrate Unit(DCU) For Water Meter Remote Reading and Controlling Functions Via AMI System
Combining the advantages of our solar home system,a new product specially developed for water meter concentrator. Instead of having to pull a separate wire to power the concentrator, solar panel can be used to generate electricity, stored in a battery and then power the concentrator continuously. The outside meter box can also protect the concentrator and solar controller from the rain. It’s very suitable and convenient for water utilities which need the function of remote collection and reading.
It is dedicated to Smart Metering application and designed as a gateway between metering devices and AMR/AMI system, ST368 creates two ways communication from metering points to AMR/AMRI system, performs task setting, data collection, data transmission and data storage, meter management, GPRS information task execution and RF network management.

Application
This DCU can communicate with AMI system via GPRS modulle in uplink, and communicate with smart meters like electricity meter, water meter and gas meter downlink with RF module.
Take water meter for example: the water meter has RF module built inside, the DCU and get the meter data from RF module, then send to AMI system via GPRS module, then the AMI system can read the meter remotely. When we operate the recharging function, we generate the recharge Token with AMI system, the Token transport to DCU via GPRS module, then the DCU send the Token to water meter. After the credit received by water meter, the remotely recharge successed.
