SS 304 / SS 316 Ultraviolet UV Sterilization System for Cosmetics and Electronics
What is UV?
Ultraviolet (UV) is part of the light from the sun. Compared to X-rays, the frequency of the UV spectrum is higher than that of visible light, and the frequency is low. This also means that the UV spectrum has a larger wavelength than X-rays and a smaller wavelength than visible light, and the energy level from low to high is visible light, UV, not X-ray. As a water treatment technique, UV is known to be an effective disinfectant due to its strong germicidal (inactivating) ability. UV disinfects water containing bacteria and viruses and can be effective against protozoans like, Giardia lamblia cysts or Cryptosporidium oocysts. UV has been used commercially for many years in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, beverage, and electronics industries, especially in Europe. In the United States, it was used for drinking water disinfection in the early 1900s century, but was abandoned due to high operating costs, unreliable equipment, and the increasing popularity of chlorination.
Introduction of open channel UV system
Open channel UV systems are mainly used at the municipal water/wastewater treatment plants for water recycling and effluent disinfection to ensure a better level of environmental protection.
UV disinfection is an effective and environmentally friendly alternative to the conventional chlorine effluent disinfection. Nowadays more than 15% of 2000 waste water treatment plants in North America have chosen the UV as the primary disinfection method. UV disinfection has proved its safety, reliability, efficiency, and economical characteristics over the years.
Open channel UV sterilizers GT series have been used for waste water, sewage water disinfection in order to achieve a lower environment pollution drainage.
Benefits of UV Disinfection System
Natural - UV is nature’s way of purification.
Environmentally Friendly - No Toxic by-products are formed during UV disinfection process.
Effective - All known microorganisms are susceptible to UV light.
Economical - Lowest operating cost amongst disinfection systems.
Safe& Chemical Free - No addition of chemicals hence no danger of overdosing.
Fast - It is In-contact purification therefore Instant.
Easy to Manage - High-efficiency electronic ballasts, and extremely precise UV intensity monitors which make them highly effective and hence easy to manage.
