Water white or light yellow viscous liquid. Average molecular formula is C15H26Cl6, average molecular weight is 419.09.It is inflammable, non-explosive, non-volatile and non-toxic. Soluble in most organic solvents, insoluble in water and ethyl alcohol.

Application

Major application for Chlorinated Paraffin-52 is as a secondry plasticizer, generally used in conjunction with some primary plasticizer such as DOP, DINP, DBP, etc. It imparts a number of technical benefits to flexible PVC, out of which the most significant is the enhancement of flame retardant properties for PVC flooring and Cable. CP is also recognized as one of the most effective additives for lubricants used in a wide range of machining and engineering operations.

Avoid contact with eyes. Avoid prolonged skin contact. Provide adequate ventilation where operational procedures

demand it. Do not allow to enter drains, sewers or watercourses.

Storage:

Keep only in original container at temperatures not exceeding 40 Deg C. Keep container dry. Keep away from direct sunlight.
