C18150 Chromium-Zirconium Copper plate
Product Description: Composition (%)- (Cr:0.1-0.8, Zr:0.3-0.6); Hardness: HB≥120; Conductivity (IACS): σ≥80%
Product Introduction
Chromium-Zirconium Copper plate has good electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, high hardness, wear resistance, anti-explosion, high cracking resistance and softening temperature, less electrode loss during welding, fast welding speed and low total welding cost. It is suitable for the welding machine’s electrode fittings.
The product is widely used in welding contact nozzles, switch contacts, mold blocks and welding machine auxiliary devices for machinery manufacturing industries such as automobile, motorcycles and barrels (cans).Rods and plates are available in specifications and can be customized according to customer requirements
Quality Requirement
1. Conductivity measured by eddy current conductometer adopts the average of three points: ≥44MS/M
2. Hardness based on Rockwell hardness standard adopts the average of three points: ≥78HRB
3. Softening temperature experiment:holding two hours at softening temperature (550℃),after quenching and cooling, it can not be reduced more than 15% compared with the original hardness (Hardness > 75HRB, Conductivity > 75%IACS).
Application
1. Resistance welding electrode: Through the combination of heat treatment and cold working, chrome-Zirconium copper can obtain the best mechanical properties and physical properties, so it is used for general purpose resistance welding electrodes, such as electrode for spot welding or seam welding of mild steel and coated steel, or as electrode grip, shaft and lining when welding mild steel, or as a large mold, fixture for projection welder, mold for stainless steel and heat-resistant steel or mosaic electrode.
2. Electric spark electrode: Chrome-Zirconium copper has good electrical and thermal conductivity, high hardness, wear resistance and anti-explosion. It is used as an electric spark electrode with the advantages of good erectness, non-bending of flaking and high smoothness.
3. Mold base material: Due to the characteristics of electrical and thermal conductivity, hardness, wear resistance and anti-explosion, and price of chrome-zirconium copper, which are superior to beryllium copper mold materials, chrome- zirconium copper has begun to replace beryllium copper as a general mold material in the mold industry, such as, sole molds, plumbing molds, plastic molds that require high cleanliness, and connectors, guide wires, etc. that require high-strength wires.
