Hydrostatic Strength For UL/FM fire pump(UL448 FM1311)

1. Requirements
No rupture, cracking or permanent distortion of any part of the pump shall be observed in a 5 minute test when hydrostatically tested at the required pressure
2. Test/Verification
A sample casing of each model and material shall be hydrostatically tested to a pressure equal to, or greater than, twice the sum of the maximum shutoff pressure of the pump plus a maximum allowable suction pressure specified by the pump manufacturer, 2x (Pmax + Pmax suction)
