Aluminum alloys are known for their strong corrosion resistance characteristics. These alloys are sensitive to high temperatures ranging between 200 and 250°C (392 and 482°F). They lose some of their strength on exposure to high temperatures. Aluminium / Aluminum alloys experience an increase in strength at subzero temperatures and are good low-temperature alloys.
Aluminium / Aluminum 1050 alloy has good corrosion resistance, formability and weldability.

Aluminium / aluminum 1050A alloy can be welded using both TIG and MIG methods. The filler that is used is mostly aluminium / aluminum 4043 or 1050 alloy. Annealing of aluminium / aluminum 1050 alloy can be performed at 350°C (662°F). T4 is the commonly used tempering process for this alloy. The alloy is solution heat treated and naturally aged to gain a very stable condition.
