Five Heddle Weave Wire Mesh offers a rectangular opening, is fabricated by passing every warp wire alternately up and down each single and four Shute wires and vice versa. The pattern is staggered on successive warp wires, providing a facade of parallel diagonal lines. This weave permits the use of comparatively heavier wires in the specific mesh count than recommended in other weaves. It is extensively used in supporting the heavier loads. Five-heddle weave mesh offers excellent flow rate, it's suitable for high mechanical pressures.

Each warp wire alternately goes under and above each one and four weft wires, and each weft wire goes under and above each one and four warp wires alternately.
Five-heddle weave also called five shed twill weave mesh pattern, rectangular aperture, each warp wire passes over four wires and under one to provide a very smooth surface on one side which encourages the efficient removal of filter cake.
