Titanium woven wire mesh is a kind of products with outstanding corrosion resistance, low density and nontoxic performance. In the corrosion environment, the surface of high purity titanium mesh will form an oxidation film layer to protect wire mesh from being corroded. The layer is compact and inert, which has strong resistance to the corrosion. It has excellent corrosion resistant performance in below environment: Seawater, wet chlorine, chlorite and hypochlorite solution, nitric acid, chromic acid, metal chlorides and organic salts. Because of the outstanding corrosion resistance, the titanium woven wire mesh has become the replacement material of nickel-free stainless steel wire mesh, aluminum wire mesh.
Titanium wire mesh is woven from commercially pure titanium (CP Ti) or titanium alloys, including:
Grade 1 (CP Ti, 99.5% Ti) – Most ductile, excellent corrosion resistance
Grade 2 (CP Ti, 99.2% Ti) – Balanced strength & formability (most common)
Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) – High-strength aerospace alloy
Grade 7 (Ti-0.15% Pd) – Enhanced acid resistance
