Spezilla sanitary tube is ideal for the dairy food and beverage industries where the highest degree purity and cleanliness is essential. It is certified to the requirements of ASTM A270.
Spezilla sanitary tubes are manufactured from the finest quality raw materials made exclusively to their exacting melt parameters.
Each tube is packaged in 2 mil poly sleeving with capped and sealed ends to ensure purity standards. Spezilla sanitary tubes are packed in protective tri-wall boxing, or wood boxes.
The demanding environments of the dairy, food, and beverage industries require a higher purity tubing than standard instrumentation grade. Sanitary tubing offers a highly polished ID and OD to ensure cleanliness to prevent particulate entrapment. Spezilla offers a domestic tubing product manufactured by utilizing state-of-the-art laser welding to produce a high quality tube featuring the superior fit and finish quality needed to ensure a problem-free system.

Surface Finish
Bright annealed and mechanically polished.
Maximum roughness measurement of 32 Ra O.D. and 20 Ra I.D.
Packaging
All sanitary tubes are shipped end capped and poly sleeved for exceptional protection.
Mechanical Tests
Our sanitary tubing undergoes a wide variety mechanical and non-destructive testing that meet or exceed ASTM A270/A269/A1016.
Finish and repair:
The surface of the welded stainless steel tube must be clean and free of scale and contaminating iron particles. It can be bright annealed but may be pickled, blasted or can be passivated.
Repair by welding. Permitted on <−20% of the weld seam length of welded stainless steel tube if >−NPS 6 and having a wall thickness >−0.200 in (mm). Tungsten-arc welding process is used for repairs, with filler metal to a grade as specified in A 312 (not repeated here). Weld repairs must be identified on the pipe and in test certificate.
