Features
Description
Feature of the veterinary autoclave is the control of the sterilization phase according to a pressure signal, rather than temperature. Obviously, the temperature readout varies as a function of the position of the sensor, whilst the pressure is uniform throughout the chamber.
However, process control is performed by reading in the chamber (and from inside the product) temperature signals whose match with the pressure value, as constantly verified by the controller, demonstrates that the autoclave is operating correctly.
This principle, in saturated-steam conditions (when there is a two-way T/P correspondence) allows to obtain uniformities in sterilization temperature which are far better than the currently required level of ±1.0 °C.
Applications
Competitive Advantage
Effluent Decontamination.
Available on gravity and pre-vacuum units. Retains liquid effluent, if any, within the chamber for the duration of the sterilization cycle. Aerosol effluent passes through a 0.2 micron hydrophobic HEPA filter with >99.999% efficiency; the filter is located within the chamber and is sterilized in situ to eliminate the need for disposal after each cycle. The filter is easily replaced by the user when required without special tools or service personnel.
