Description:
Pedestrian bridges are needed where a separate pathway has to be provided for people to cross traffic flows or some physical obstacle, such as a river. The loads they carry are, in relation to highway or railway bridges, quite modest, and in most circumstances a fairly light structure is required. They are, however, frequently required to give a long clear span, and stiffness then becomes an important consideration. The bridges are often very clearly on view to the public and therefore the appearance merits careful attention. Steel offers economic and attractive forms of construction which suit all the requirements demanded of a footbridge.

We can offer a comprehensive Design, Fabricate and Supply service to support the development and installation of permanent composite bridging solutions. We can accommodate multiple spans of any length and any width to cater for the heaviest traffic requirements. Our composite bridges combine the benefits of a quickly erected and lightweight steel superstructure with the durability of concrete decks.
All our composite bridges are designed around locally sourced concrete deck slabs, whilst accommodating local manufacturing capabilities and concrete availability. Formwork for the concrete decks can be supplied either as proprietary formwork panels to facilitate in-situ casting or alternatively, as steel deck panels, which enable off-site concrete pre-casting and reduced site construction times.
Our experienced team is focused on your steel bridge project's success, from start to finish. Our proven ability to identify and overcome design inconsistencies, potential problems with erection, and shipping obstacles results in the fabrication of structural steel that is right the first time, helping you avoid costly construction delays.
