Copper Alloy Steel ASTM B111 C68700 Heat Exchanger Tube , Cooling Systems
The ASTM B111 C68700 copper alloy steel heat exchanger tube is a seamless tube made from a copper-nickel alloy (70% Cu, 30% Ni). This alloy is designed for use in heat exchangers, condensers, and cooling systems where high corrosion resistance (especially in seawater), strength, and thermal conductivity are critical. The C68700 copper-nickel alloy provides excellent performance in marine, chemical, petrochemical, and power generation applications, where heat exchange systems are exposed to harsh environments, including saltwater, brines, and corrosive fluids. The tube is also highly resistant to stress corrosion cracking and offers good mechanical strength, ensuring durability and long-term performance in demanding systems.

Applications:
- Marine Applications:Heat exchangers for cooling and temperature regulation in marine engines, shipboard HVAC systems, and offshore platforms.Condensers and evaporators in desalination plants where seawater is used as the primary medium for heat exchange.
- Cooling Systems in Power Plants:Cooling towers and condensers in power plants, particularly those that use seawater or other corrosive cooling fluids.
- Offshore Oil and Gas:Cooling systems for offshore drilling platforms and rigs, where high durability and resistance to corrosive seawater are needed.
- Desalination Plants:Seawater desalination processes, where heat exchangers made from C68700 are used to separate salts from seawater by heating and condensation.
- Chemical and Petrochemical Industries:Heat exchangers in chemical processing and refining industries, especially where fluids may be corrosive or where the temperature differences in heat exchange are significant.
- Refrigeration and HVAC:Used in refrigeration systems where high resistance to corrosion and reliable heat transfer are critical, especially in systems exposed to moisture or chemicals.
- Industrial Cooling:Employed in various industrial applications to cool machinery and systems that require efficient thermal management, such as in manufacturing plants, refineries, or large-scale air conditioning systems.
