NOTES:

1. The markings shown for all grades of A194 nuts are for cold formed and hot forged nuts. When nuts are machined from bar stock, the nut must additionally be marked with the letter 'B'. The letters H and M indicate heat treated nuts.
2. Properties shown are those of coarse and 8-pitch thread heavy hex nuts.
3. Hardness numbers are Brinell Hardness.
4. Nuts that are carbide-solution treated require additional letter A - 8A or 8MA.
5. All nuts shall bear the manufacturer’s identification mark. Nuts shall be legibly marked on one face to indicate the grade and process of the manufacturer. Marking of wrench flats or bearing surfaces is not permitted unless agreed upon between manufacturer and purchaser.
6. Other less common grades exist, but are not listed here.

Product application

ASTM A194 2H Heavy Hex Nuts are core products. JIAXING CITY QUNBANG HARDWARE CO.,LTD is an ISO 9001:2015 certified fastener manufacturer ,As directed by the ASTM A-193 specification, these are heavy hex nut pattern nuts that are engineered to mate with A193 B7 Studs. We carry sizes up to 6″ in diameter in both UNC and UNF thread pitch. For sizes 1″ in diameter and larger, 8-TPI is also available as it is commonly used for applications in flanging together pipe and valves.

We also can produce PTFE nuts which some refer to as PTFE 2H Nuts. PTFE blue coated nuts are also very commonly used in the industry as fluropolymer coated fasteners allow for an excellent resistance to corrosion while promising an easy on/easy off assembly.

Also known as heavy hex nuts, these nuts are about 10% wider and taller than standard hex nuts and distribute the load over a large area. Grade 2H nuts are comparable in strength to Grade 9 bolts. They're about 20% stronger than high-strength steel nuts and are used in heavy machinery, such as earth-moving equipment.

Zinc yellow-chromate plated steel nuts resist corrosion in wet environments.

Hot-dipped galvanized steel nuts have a thick coating for better corrosion resistance than zinc-plated steel nuts. They must be used with other hot-dipped galvanized fasteners.

Black-oxide steel nuts have a dark surface color and are mildly corrosion resistant in dry environments.

PTFE-coated steel nuts have a slippery surface to resist sticking during installation. They're resistant to chemicals and salt water.
