ASTM A213/SA213 T9, T11, T22, T91 Alloy Steel Seamless Tubing Heat Exchanger Tube Galvanized Round Pipe
SA213 T9 is a seamless ferritic alloy steel pipe for high temperature conditions. A213 is commonly referred to as Chrome-molybdenum tube because of the chemical composition of molybdenum (Mo) and chromium (Cr). Typical components of SA213 T9 tubing include 8% to 10% chromium, 0.3% to 0.6% molybdenum and small amounts of carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur and other elements. Molybdenum increases the strength of steel as well as its elastic limit, wear resistance, impact mass, and hardenability. Molybdenum increases resistance to softening, inhibits grain growth, and makes chromium steel less embrittlement. Molybdenum is the most effective single additive for increasing creep strength at high temperature. It also enhances the corrosion resistance of the steel and inhibits pitting. Chromium (or chromium) is an essential component of stainless steel. Any steel with a chromium content of 12% or higher is considered stainless steel. Chromium is almost irreplaceable in terms of oxidation resistance at high temperatures. Chromium increases tensile, yield and hardness at room temperature. The composition of chrome-molybdenum steel tubes makes them ideal for power plants, refineries, petrochemical plants, and oilfield services, where fluids and gases are transported under extremely high temperatures and pressures.
