ASTM B622 Hastelloy C276 UNS N10276 2.4819 Nickel Alloy Seamless Tubing
Hastelloy C276
Composition: ASTM B622 C276 tubes are composed primarily of nickel, molybdenum, and chromium. The alloy also contains small amounts of tungsten and cobalt, which enhance its corrosion resistance.
Corrosion Resistance: ASTM B622 C276 tubes exhibit exceptional corrosion resistance in a wide range of aggressive environments, including strong oxidizers, reducing environments, and chlorides. This makes them highly suitable for applications in chemical processing, pollution control, and seawater handling.
High Temperature Performance: These tubes offer excellent resistance to high-temperature oxidation and can withstand temperatures up to 1900°F (1038°C). This makes them suitable for use in heat exchangers, furnace components, and other high-temperature applications.
Versatility: ASTM B622 C276 tubes are versatile and can be easily fabricated into various forms, such as pipes, tubes, fittings, and flanges. They can also be welded using commonly used techniques, making them convenient for use in different industrial processes.
Mechanical Properties: These tubes possess outstanding mechanical properties, including good tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation. They retain their toughness and ductility even at low temperatures, providing reliable performance in demanding conditions.
Non-magnetic: ASTM B622 C276 tubes are non-magnetic, making them suitable for sensitive applications where magnetic interference should be avoided, such as in electronic equipment or MRI machines.
