What is ASTM A312 TP304 Welded Pipe?
A312 Tp304 is an austenitic alloy grade designed with a superior nickel and chromium composition.ASTM A312 Tp304 alloy offers excellent resistance to corrosive and oxidizing media across stress-induced environments. This versatile alloy grade has excellent mechanical properties. They have a minimum tensile strength of 75 ksi and a minimum yield strength of 30 ksi. ASTM A312 grade TP304 tubing can be processed by hot or cold rolling processes. These tubes are available in thicknesses ranging from 0.8 mm to 12 mm and are available in various sizes and specifications to meet project requirements.
Components in this grade are produced in seamless, welded and two-dimensional configurations. Each of these modules has its own characteristics that allow them to be used in different applications.ASME SA 312 TP 304 seamless tubing is produced by an extrusion process in which a hot billet is passed through the metal. This gives the material the ability to work at high temperatures and pressures. These pipes are slightly more expensive than welded pipes. astm a312 tp 304 welded pipes are not suitable for pressure vessel grades. In these modules, the sheet or strip is rolled and welded in a series of shop welding procedures. a312 Tp304 welded pipe is relatively inexpensive and can be produced in sizes from 1/8 to 36 NB. These pipes are very versatile and are designed for outside diameters ranging from 6.35 mm to 114.3 mm. The robust SA 312 Tp 304 ERW pipes are made by longitudinally welding the metal to precisely shape the pipe. These pipes are very durable and do not require any filler material to weld them in place.
