What is ASTM B462 UNS N08020?
Alloy 20 is often called as a superalloy. ASTM B462/ ASME SB462 UNS N08020 Flange has excellent resistance to general corrosion, pitting, and crevice corrosion in chemicals containing chlorides as well as in acidic medium or conditions that contain acidic solutions like sulfuric, phosphoric, and nitric acids.
Alloy 20 Flanges are a low-carbon containing, niobium-stabilized authentic alloy. Alloy 20 Flanges contain elements like nickel, iron, and chromium in their alloy with additions of metal elements like molybdenum and copper. The addition of niobium within the Alloy 20 Weld Neck Flange has been done to stabilize the alloy against sensitization and prevention of the resultant intergranular corrosion.
