ASTM A266 (ASME SA266) Gr.2 Carbon Steel Baffle Plate Tubesheet for Steam Turbine
Description
Baffles are widely used in shell and tube heat exchangers, boilers, pressure vessels, steam turbines, large central air-conditioning and so on. Baffles are mainly used in shell and tube heat exchangers, boilers, pressure vessels, condensers, central air-conditioners, evaporators, seawater desalination and other chemical vessels, with the function of supporting the tube bundles and improving the heating efficiency. The metal material makes it not only very rigid, but also has great thermal conductivity.
ASTM A266 Grade 2 is a type of ASTM A266 carbon steel. The properties quoted apply to the normalised condition. The bars on the Material Properties Card below compare ASTM A266 Grade 2 with: Wrought Carbon or Unalloyed Steels (top), All Ferroalloys (middle), and the entire database (bottom).
