ASTM B514 800H UNS NO8800 Inconel Alloy Welded Pipe Gas Processing
Incoloy 800 (N08800) Inconel 800 nickel based alloy/high-temperature alloy:
The Cr content in 800 alloy is usually 15-25%, the nickel content is 30-45%, and it contains a small amount of aluminum and titanium.
The 800 alloy is in a single austenite zone after high temperature and rapid cooling, therefore, it is in a single austenite structure in use.The alloy has a high chromium content and sufficient nickel content, so it has high high-temperature corrosion resistance and is widely used in industry. It has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chloride, low concentration NaOH aqueous solution, and high-temperature and high-pressure water, so it is used for manufacturing equipment that is resistant to stress corrosion cracking
Incoloy800 application areas
chemical industry
Nuclear generator
Nitric acid cooler, acetic anhydride cracking pipe
Heat exchange equipment
Incoloy800 processing
Hot working:
1. The temperature range is 1200 ℃~950 ℃, and the cooling method is water quenching or rapid air cooling.
2. In order to obtain the best performance and creep resistance, solution treatment should be carried out after Hot working.
3. The materials can be directly sent into the furnace that has been heated to 1200 ℃, and the furnace can be quickly discharged after holding for enough time, and Hot working can be carried out within the specified temperature range. When the material temperature drops below the Hot working temperature, it needs to be reheated.
Cold working:
1. The work hardening rate is greater than that of austenitic stainless steel, so it is necessary to select processing equipment. Cold worked materials should be in the solution heat treated state, and intermediate annealing should be carried out when the cold work volume is large.
2. If the cold processing amount is greater than 10%, the workpiece needs to undergo secondary solid solution treatment.
Incoloy800 welding process
It is suitable to use any traditional welding process to weld with the same material or other metals, such as tungsten inert gas welding, plasma arc welding, manual sub arc welding, metal inert gas welding, MIG welding, and pulsed Arc welding is the preferred solution. If Shielded metal arc welding is adopted, it is recommended to use (Ar+He+H2+CO2) as the shielding gas.
