What is stainless steel Tee?
Stainless steel tees are pipe fittings and pipe connectors. It is used for branch pipes of main pipelines. Stainless steel tees are divided into equal and reduced diameters. All tee ends with equal diameters have the same size. Reduced diameter tees have the same size main pipe, but the branch pipe is smaller than the main pipe. The hydraulic bumping process of forming stainless steel tees in a single pass improves productivity. Increased shoulder wall thickness for both the main pipe and the stainless steel tee.
Stainless steel tee is a kind of pipe fittings used in pipe branching. When using seamless pipe to make tees, the processes usually used are hydraulic bulging and hot pressing. Hydraulic expansion of a stainless steel tee is a molding process in which the branch pipe expands by axially compensating for the metallic material. In this process, a special hydraulic press is used to inject liquid into a billet of the same diameter as the tee, and the billet is extruded by the synchronized centering motion of two horizontal side cylinders of the hydraulic press. The liquid pressure increases as the tube volume decreases. When the pressure required to expand the stainless steel tee branch pipe is reached, the metal material flows along the mold cavity under the dual action of the side cylinders and the liquid pressure in the branch pipe, thus expanding the branch pipe.
The hydraulic bulging process of the stainless steel tee can be molded in a single pass, thus increasing productivity.
