ASTM B163 Seamless NO8825 Nickel Alloy Condenser, Heat Exchanger Tubes
YUHONG Group offers ASTM B163 / ASME SB163 NO8825 SMLS nickel alloy steel tubes and we sell these tubes in more than 70 countries up to now. This specification covers seamless tubes of nickel and nickel alloys, for use in condenser and heat-exchanger service.
The alloy UNS NO8825 is a general-purpose engineering alloy that is resistant to acid and alkali metal corrosion in both oxidizing and reducing environments. The high nickel content gives the alloy effective resistance to stress corrosion cracking. Corrosion resistance in various media is very good. Therefore, it is widely used in chemical industry, seawater desalination, offshore oil and gas exploration and nuclear industry, etc., which require high corrosion performance and high temperature and high pressure industrial fields. At the same time, the processing performance of NO8825 is relatively good, and the performance of the material can be adjusted by heat treatment and other methods.

Rockwell or equivalent hardness values apply only to the annealed ends of stress-relieved tubing. Caution should be observed in using the Rockwell test on thin material, as the results may be affected by the thickness of specimen. For thickness under 0.050 in. (1.27 mm) the use of the Rockwell superficial or the Vickers hardness test is suggested.
