The T22 Tube Materials have low carbon less than 0.15%, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon and molybdenum in the composition. The ASTM A213 T22 Tube can be welded with conventional methods. Where the oxy-acetylene or submerged arc welding methods are to be employed, the tube has to be post weld heat treated; mostly annealing.

Molybdenum maintain the strength of ASME SA213 T22 tubes as well as the elastic limit, resistance to wear, impact qualities, and hardenability. Moly is the most effective single additive that enhances high temperature creep strength of T22 Tubes.
