ASTM B861 Grade 2 Titanium Alloy Seamless Pipes Heat Exchangers Food Chemical
Due to the inefficiency of stainless steel and other materials in many cases, titanium tubes and pipes are increasingly being used in a myriad of applications. While grades 1, 2, 3, 7, 9 and 11 are available, Grade 2 is suitable for most situations. the ready availability of Grade 2 makes it the material of choice for rapid production and larger orders.
Before choosing any grade, it is vital to determine exactly how a grade will be used. grades 7, 12, 16 or 26 can be used to make titanium pipes for use in areas where greater corrosion resistance is required. grades 3 and 12 may be the material of choice for pipes requiring greater strength.
