ASTM B151 C70600 Copper Nickel Alloy Forged Flange Weld Neck RF RTJ FF B16.5 For Connection
The UNS C70600 is a copper-based alloy with nickel as the main alloying element, which contains about 90% copper and 10% nickel. The thermal conductivity of copper-nickel alloy is close to that of carbon steel, the thermal expansion coefficient is close to that of austenitic stainless steel, and the melting point is 1149℃.
The UNS C70600 argon arc welding process is applicable to avoid defects such as cracks and pores during welding. The weld strength of UNS C70600 is higher than that of the base metal, and the weld quality is good. The Cu-Ni alloy tube UNSC70600 was welded in the platform seawater cooling pipe system by this welding process, the weld RT pass rate reached 100%, and the pipeline water pressure test and air tight test passed once, ensuring the welding quality of seawater cooling pipe.
UNS C70600 corrosion resistant copper alloy has good corrosion resistance, especially resistance to high-speed flow of polluted seawater corrosion, with good stress resistance. Therefore, Cu-Ni90/10 pipes are often used in the sewage treatment of offshore platforms. When welding BFe10-1-1 pipe, manual DC tungsten argon arc welding machine is generally selected as welding equipment. As a kind of gas shielded welding, tungsten inert gas shielded welding, also known as TIG welding, tungsten or tungsten alloy with high melting point is selected as the electrode so that the electrode will not melt when the arc burns, thus ensuring the constant length of the arc and good welding quality. In the welding process, the gas body will cover the arc area of the molten metal and the electrode and isolate it from the air in the tungsten argon arc welding, and argon gas is used as the protection gas.
