A213 TP304L seamless U-bend tubes are specialized components used primarily in heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and other applications requiring high corrosion resistance and good mechanical properties at elevated temperatures.
Characteristics
1. Corrosion Resistance: TP304L exhibits excellent resistance to a wide range of corrosive environments, including many organic and inorganic chemicals.
2. Temperature Resistance: This material maintains its strength and mechanical properties at elevated temperatures, making it suitable for high-temperature applications.
3. Weldability: The low carbon content enhances the weldability of TP304L, making it a preferred choice for fabrication processes that involve welding.
4. Mechanical Properties: TP304L has good tensile strength and ductility, which allows it to withstand various mechanical stresses in operational environments.
U-Bend Configuration
Shape: The U-bend design allows for efficient heat transfer in applications such as heat exchangers, where space is limited, and effective fluid flow is crucial.
Manufacturing: The seamless U-bend tubes are manufactured without any welded seams, which enhances their structural integrity and reduces the risk of leaks or failures under pressure.
Features :
-'U' bending is done by cold working process.
-'U' bending is done to the required radius as per customer drawings.
-The bend portion and six inch leg is stress relieved by resistance heating.
-Inert gas (Argon) is passed through it at the required flow rate to avoid oxidation in ID.
-The radius is checked for its OD and wall thinning with the recommended specification.
-The physical properties and micro-structure is checked at three different position.
