ASTM A790 S32205 Duplex Stainless Steel Pipes For General Corrosive Service
YuHong Group as one of the leading suppliers in China to supply duplex stainless steel seamless pipes, etc.,we have many experiences in exporting.
ASTM A790 This specification covers seamless and straight-seam welded ferritic/austenitic steel pipe intended for general corrosive service, with particular emphasis on resistance to stress corrosion cracking. These steels are susceptible to embrittlement if used for prolonged periods at elevated temperatures.
22 Chrome, or 2205 Duplex, is a cold hardened duplex stainless steel with a nitrogen addition for improved corrosion resistance, particularly where welding is required. 2205 Duplex is the most widely used of the duplex stainless steels offering improved mechanical properties.
Distinctive Characteristic
1.Corrosion Resistance
Alloy 2205 has excellent resistance to chloride-induced pitting corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.
Alloy 2205 has a minimum Pitting Resistance Number (PREN) of 35. Additionally, it is suitable for service in environments high in chlorides, such as oil and gas production and in heat exchangers using chloride-bearing water as a coolant.
2.Elevated Temperature Resistance
The ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code places an upper-temperature limit of 600°F (315°C). Exposure to temperatures above this for extended periods results in embrittlement.
