ASTM A182 F60 F304 Duplex Stainless Steel Swage Nipple Forged Fittings B16.11 MSS SP-95
What is Swage Nipple?
Swage Nipple, also known as Reducing Nipple, is a type of forged pipe fitting. The MSS SP-95 standard is commonly used, and common materials include carbon Steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, duplex steel, super duplex steel, inconel, monel, hastelloy, titanium and copper nickel.
ASTM A182 F60 is a duplex stainless steel grade, also known as 1.4462 or UNS S32205. It is characterized by its high strength and excellent corrosion resistance, making it suitable for various applications in industries such as oil and gas, chemical processing, and maritime.
A swage nipple is a type of pipe fitting that is used to connect two pipes of different sizes. It has one end with a larger diameter and another end with a smaller diameter, allowing for a transition between the two pipe sizes.
Features:
1.Excellent corrosion resistance: This steel grade offers exceptional resistance to various types of corrosion, including chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion. It is suitable for use in aggressive environments such as marine, oil, and gas industries.
2.High strength: The duplex structure of ASTM A182 F60 provides higher strength compared to austenitic stainless steels. This makes it suitable for applications that require high mechanical properties and resistance to stress corrosion cracking.
3.Various size and connection options: ASTM A182 F60 Duplex steel swage nipples are available in various sizes and connection types, including threaded and socket-welded connections. They can be customized to meet specific project requirements.
4.Easy installation: Swage nipples are used to connect two different sizes of pipes, allowing for a smooth transition between them. They are easy to install and offer a leak-free connection when properly installed.
5.Temperature range: ASTM A182 F60 Duplex steel swage nipples can withstand a wide range of temperatures, making them suitable for both high-temperature and cryogenic applications.
