ASTM A213 T9 Alloy Steel Studded Fin Tubes, Pin Tubes, Nailhead Pipes For Fired Furnace
ASTM A213 T9 is a specification for seamless ferritic and austenitic alloy steel boiler, superheater, and heat exchanger tubes, which is often used in high-temperature applications in which corrosion resistance and high creep strength are required. ASTM A213 T9 Alloy Steel Studded Fin Tube is made by electrical Resistance welding specially formed round studs in rows around the base tube. The Studs can be supplied in a variety of sizes and shapes. Studded fin tubes have high heat transfer efficiency, which is equivalent to 2-3 times that of the base tube. It can increase the surface of heat transfer coefficient of flue gas to the furnace tube and reduce the amount of base tubes. Heat transfer surface of one studded tube is equivalent to surface of 4 to 10 base tubes.
Studded Fin Tubes are generally used in furnaces and boilers where the surface is exposed to a corrosive environment where very dirty gas streams require frequent or aggressive cleaning. The studded fin tube is one of the heat transfer component which increases the heat exchange area by helically welded studs on the base tube. Studs and base tube form a strong mechanical contact which improves the heat transfer efficiency. ASTM A213 T9 Alloy Steel Stutdded Fin Tube is widely used in applications such as Boilers, Heat Exchangers, Tube Bundles, Radiators, Air Coolers, etc..
