What is TP316L?
316 stainless steel is a grade of stainless steel produced in accordance with the ASTM standard in the U.S. 316 is equivalent to 0Cr17Ni12Mo2 stainless steel in China.
SS316 stainless steel has good plasticity, toughness, cold transformability and welding process performance.316 high temperature strength is better, 316L high temperature performance is poorer, but its corrosion resistance is better than 316.Because of its low carbon content, containing molybdenum 2%-3%, improve the corrosion resistance to reducing salts and a variety of inorganic organics acids, alkalis, salts and high temperature strength.
Basic features:
(1) Cold rolled products have a good glossy appearance;
2) due to the addition of Mo (2-3%), corrosion resistance, especially excellent pitting resistance
3) Excellent high temperature strength
4) excellent work hardening (weak magnetism after processing)
5) solid solution state non-magnetic
