ASTM A182 F316L, UNS S31603 Stainless Steel Slip On Raised Face Forged Flange
ASTM A182 F316L Stainless Steel Flanges include nickel and molybdenum. Stainless steel F316L flanges have high strength requirements at temperatures above 500 degrees Celsius. ASTM A182 F316L flanges also suffer from stress corrosion cracking above 60 degrees Celsius. A182 F316L BLRF Flange is an austenitic Cr-Ni stainless steel. F316L is now commonly used in many industries, such as brewing, marine, food processing, and oil and gas. ASTM A182 F316L SORF Flange has strong oxidation resistance in intermittent service up to 870°C and continuous service up to 925°C. Continuous service between 425 – 860 degrees Celsius is not recommended if F316L stainless steel flanges need to be resistant to corrosion in water, but as for this lower carbon variation, F316L is recommended because of its resistance to carbide precipitation.
