What is ASTM B564 UNS N06600?
Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium alloy that resists corrosion and high temperatures. This alloy is particularly well suited for use at temperatures as low as 2000°F. Non-magnetic, it has excellent mechanical properties, combining high strength and good weldability over a wide temperature range. The high content of Inconel 600 nickel is highly resistant to reducing environments, making it corrosion resistant to a range of organic and inorganic compounds and giving it excellent resistance to chloride ion stress corrosion cracking and good resistance to alkali corrosion. Typical applications include the chemical, pulp and paper, aerospace, nuclear engineering and heat treatment industries.
