B16.48 ASTM B462 N10276 Hastelloy C276 Spectacle Flange RF Class 150
What is ASTM B462?
This specification covers forged or rolled UNS N06030, UNS N06035, UNS N06022, UNS N06200, UNS N06059, UNS N06686, UNS N08020, UNS N08024, UNS N08026, UNS N08367, UNS N10276, UNS N10665, UNS N10675, UNS N10629, UNS N08031, UNS N06045, UNS N06025, and UNS R20033 alloy pipe flanges, forged fittings, and valves and parts intended for corrosive high temperature service.
A sufficient discard shall be made from each ingot to secure freedom from injurious piping and undue segregation. Requirements for forging (done by hammering, pressing, rolling, extruding, or upsetting), hot working, and heat treatment are detailed. The material shall conform to the chemical composition prescribed for carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, nickel, chromium, molybdenum, copper, columbium, tantalum, nitrogen, iron, cobalt, tungsten, vanadium, titanium, zirconium, aluminum, yttrium, and cerium. The material shall meet the requirements specified for the mechanical properties including tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation.
What is Hastelloy C276 Flange?
Since these slip on flanges are to be welded and the material has an excellent performance in terms of its weldability, they are well suited to be used for applications that have welding as their primary concern. The lower content of carbon in the Hastelloy C276 Weld Neck Flange is what minimizes the occurrence of carbide precipitation during welding operations. The low carbon content also aids in the maintenance of corrosion resistance properties in as welded structures.
Nickel alloy C276 forged Flanges are available in various sizes and shapes. This is used in temperatures like 450 degree F. This has best corrosion resistance; the quality is excellent and is available in affordable rates.
Various types of nickel flanges are available and it is thus used in industries like condensers, heat exchangers, chemicals and in many other industries.
