ASME SA182 F304L flanges are manufactured using a forging process, which gives the flanges a strong and reliable connection performance and the ability to withstand various stresses in high pressure and high temperature environments. The flange connection surface is usually flat face (FF), raised face (RF) or ring-type joint (RTJ) to meet different industrial requirements.
- Chemical composition: The chemical composition of F304L includes carbon (C) content not exceeding 0.030%, manganese (Mn) content not exceeding 2.00%, phosphorus (P) content not exceeding 0.045%, sulfur (S) content not exceeding 0.030%, silicon (Si) content not exceeding 1.00%, nickel (Ni) content between 8.013.0%, chromium (Cr) content between 18.020.0%, and nitrogen (N) content not exceeding 0.10%.
- Mechanical properties: After solution treatment and quenching, F304L has a tensile strength of 485MPa, a yield strength of 170MPa, an elongation (2 inches or 50mm) of 30%, and a cross-sectional reduction of 50%.
