ASTM A182 F53 Duplex Steel Forged Blind Flange BL RF 1/2" CL600 B16.5
ASTM A182 specification covers forged low alloy and stainless steel piping fittings used in pressure systems, including flanges, fittings, valves, and similar parts that conform to specified dimensions or size standards. And it covers various grades of low-alloy steels as well as ferritic, martensitic, austenitic, and ferritic austenitic stainless steels.
The tensile strength of ASTM A182 F53 flanges is usually high and can meet the requirements for use in high-pressure environments. Its tensile strength is generally greater than or equal to 800 MPa, which means that the flange can withstand large external forces without breaking when subjected to tensile force, ensuring the stability and safety of the equipment; The yield strength is the maximum stress that a flange material can withstand before undergoing plastic deformation. The yield strength of ASTM A182 F53 flange is usually greater than or equal to 550MPa, and a higher yield strength allows the flange to have higher resistance to pressure or heavy loads.

In terms of surface finish and appearance treatment of ASTM A182 F53 flange, it should comply with the standard requirements: the parts should conform to the dimensions, tolerances, and finish specified on the buyer's drawings or orders and individual ASTM product specifications, and before the final surface inspection, the finished parts should be cleaned to remove all surface oxides and processing compounds, without damaging the surface finish, material properties, and metallurgical structure during the process. After cleaning, the surface should be visually inspected for defects, and the cleaned parts should be protected to prevent further contamination.
In terms of anti-corrosion, different materials have different requirements for anti-corrosion coatings. The outer and inner surfaces of carbon steel, low alloy steel, and medium alloy steel fittings should have anti-corrosion coatings. Unless otherwise specified by the buyer, the type of surface protection shall be chosen by the manufacturer; Stainless steel and nickel alloy fittings do not require coating, and the unprocessed surface of stainless steel fittings should be passivated by exposure to an acid bath or electropolishing; The protective coating on the parts that are subsequently socket welded or butt welded should be suitable for welding without removing the coating. Threaded fittings should be able to be installed without removing the coating.
