High Precision Capillary Tubes , SUS304 SUS316L , Stainless Steel Tubes For Medical Use
Stainless steel capillary tubes that are used for medical devices are generally welded, cold drawn, high precision tubes. These capillary tubes are produced by SUS304, SUS316L stainless steel grades due to their excellent corrosion resistance. Medical needle tube manufacturers are usually choose these stainless steel grades to produce the medical needles and 304 is the most common medical grade stainless steel for needle tubes.SUS304 welded capillary tubes can be used in limited medical scenarios where corrosion resistance is not critical. However, for devices exposed to bodily fluids, sterilization, or long-term implantation, SUS316L is the industry standard due to its superior performance and compliance with medical-grade certifications. In addition to needle tubes, there are also other applications for high precision capillary tubes, such as precision instruments, aerospace industry, refrigeration equipment, automobile equipments and so on.
Our company has supplied and manufactured stainless steel 304/316 high precision capillary tubes for more than 30 years. Our bright annealed capillary tubes are produced with tight tolerance and these tubes can be delivered in straight type or coiled type, plain ends or bevelled ends according the client's requirements. For the medical use, we can provide stainless steel capillary tubes confirmed with ISO9626: 2016 international standard. For the normal use, we can also provide capillary tubes according to ASTM A269 specification. If the client has special requirements about the shapes of capillary tubes, we can also customize the tubes.
Corrosion Resistance:
SUS304: Good for general use but less resistant to chlorides and acidic environments.
SUS316L: Superior due to Mo, ideal for harsh environments (marine, chemical, medical). Resists pitting/crevice corrosion, making it suitable for sterilized or saline-exposed medical devices.
