Welded gabion box description:
Welded gabion box is made of welded wire mesh panels assembled with spirals locking pins and stiffener.
The philosophy of the Welded gabion box is similar to woven gabions. Weld gabion units consist of panels
of welded wire mesh, secured together to form a gabion unit, which is filled on site with gabion stone to form
the appropriate structure.

Welded gabion box are classified according to coating, as follows:
Style 1, consists of welded wire fabric made from wire which is zinc coated before being welded into fabric.
Spiral binders, lacing wire, and stiffeners are produced from zinc coated wire.
Style 2, consists of welded wire fabric which is made from uncoated wire and the fabric is subsequently zinc
coated after fabrication. Spiral binders, lacing wire, and stiffeners are produced from zinc coated wire.
Style 3, consists of welded wire fabric made from wire which is coated with zinc-5 % aluminum-mischmetal
alloy(Zn-5Al-MM) before being welded into fabric. Spiral binders, lacing wire, and stiffeners are also produced
from zinc-5 % aluminum-mischmetal alloy (Zn-5Al-MM) coated wire.

Welded gabion box Installation details:
1. Ends, diaphragms, front and back panels are placed upright on the bottom section of wire mesh.
2. Secure panels by screwing spiral binders through the mesh openings in adjacent panels.
3. Stiffeners shall be placed across the corners, at 300mm from the corner. Providing a diagonal bracing,
and crimped over the line and cross wires on the front and side faces. None are needed in interior cells.
4. Gabion box filled with graded stone by hand or with a shovel.
5. After filling, close the lid and secure with spiral binders at the diaphragms, ends, front and back.
