Colored 6mm Embossed Plastic PP Strapping Band Polypropylene Strap

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Packaging with PET plastic tape is very reliable, polyester straps (PET) are better and more expensive than polypropylene tape (PP). Basically, it is considered that PET straps with the same dimensions 2x are stronger than PP straps. PET straps are also heavier than PP straps, making it easier to handle them. PET straps are resistant to corrosion, water, and UV rays. Both types of straps are available in widths from 9 mm to 27 mm and in thicknesses from 0.35 to 1.27 mm. The tensile strength ranges from 190 kg to 1200 kg. PET straps are used in industry as an alternative to steel straps because they are characterized by high tensile strength. Compared to them, they are also much lighter and cheaper.

Polyester strapping also known as PET strapping is used when regular polypropylene strapping isn’t strong enough to get the job done. Polyester strap most closely resembles steel strapping in its physical characteristics.

Polyester strapping will withstand higher tensioning than other plastic strapping up to 25% higher, with equivalent break strengths. It will retain tension on rigid loads better than other non-metallic strapping.

Quality’s polyester strapping is virtually unaffected by weather or ultraviolet rays. It is significantly lower in cost than steel strapping, a lot safer to use, and easier to dispose of too.
