Stab-in Casing Float Collar And Float Shoe API or As required

Stab-in float collar and shoe is an enhanced technique utilized for cementing casings of larger diameters. With this method, the drill pipe is directly inserted into the float shoe or collar, and cement is pumped through the drill pipe until the returns reach the surface. Subsequently, the cement is displaced to the bottom of the drill pipe with the assistance of a wiper dart. The drill pipe is then lifted, circulated, and removed from the wellbore.

Furthermore, the employment of sizable plugs is indispensable for distinguishing the cement from the mud, and extracting these plugs along with any cement that exists in the casing requires drilling. Specifically devised for cementing wider diameter casings that are inserted into the wellbore via drill pipe, the stab-in float collar and shoe technique necessitates special considerations during the cementing procedure owing to the substantial displacement volume linked with larger casings.

Features of Float Collar and float Shoe:

  • Reduce cement volume — conventional displacement requires calculation of excess cement factor, whereas with Stab-in methods excess cement need be no greater than the volume of the drill pipe. No large plugs are needed
  • Reduce net rig time — circulating, pumping, and drill-out times are minimized
  • Protect casing — cementing pressures are confined to the drill pipe as in a squeeze job
  • The Stab-in cementing equipment is available in size 4-1/2”-36”
  • The Stab-in cement Float Shoe & Collar are also available with Double Valve and any combination.
