Description
Casing Stage Collar
The stage collar is a mechanical tool utilized for the two-stage completion of cementing operations. It primarily comprises of a two-stage coupling body, a first-stage plug, a baffle plate, a free fall opening plug (utilized in non-continuous processes), or a pump-down opening plug (utilized in continuous processes), and a closing plug.
1. The stage collar utilizes an out-closing structure and a locking device on the closing sleeve. This locking mechanism ensures reliable engagement after the closing phase.
2. When opening or closing, the stage collar is designed in such a way that liquid does not accumulate in the loculum (a small compartment or chamber). This design prevents any liquid from obstructing or interfering with the proper functioning of the stage collar during operation.
3. To protect the body of the stage collar from damage during drill-out operations when the drill bit goes down, it is important for the inner diameter (I.D.) of the upper and lower sub to match that of the casing. This ensures a protective barrier is formed, reducing the risk of potential damage.
4. All the accessories are made of drillable rubber or aluminum material. They have the function of anti-rotation, and can make
the drill out easy.
5. You can use the pumping-down plug to carry out continuous process.
