SPGN Piston Seal Hydraulic Cylinder Compact Seals

SPGN is a double-acting piston, hydraulic seal with compact seal. SPGN seal is also a center joint seal, and its sliding resistance is extremely small. SPGN seals can be sealed in both directions, saving a lot of installation space. The sliding material uses nylon resin, which has excellent durability.

Characteristic:

1. SPGN has designed a cutout for inputting hydraulic pressure to prevent air leakage.

2. Because the seal ring is cut in sections, it has superior assembly performance.

3. Compared with SPGW, it can save space.

Advantage:

1. Has good solvent, oil, water and hydraulic fluid resistance.

2. Good compression set, abrasion resistance and tensile strength.

Tip:

Not recommended for using in highly polar solvents such as acetone, and MEK, ozone, chlorinated hydrocarbons and nitro hydrocarbons.

The role of the seal:

Piston seal: Acts as a barrier to the pressure and prevents the fluid from passing the piston. Necessary for maintaining the position when at rest or for the cylinder’s dominant motion.

Rod seal: Acts a pressure barrier and helps the operational fluid inside of the cylinder to regulate the fluid film extending with the connecting rod’s surface. This is essential in inhibiting the corrosion of the rod and the lubrication of the wiper seal.

Rod and piston: Prevents contact of metal-to-metal between parts, leading to keeping the piston and connecting rod accurately centered within the assembly of the cylinder. Helps in improving performance of the piston and rod waterproofing system.
