S31500 material introduction:

S31500 is a special stainless steel resistant to chloride stress corrosion. Resistance to pitting corrosion is equivalent to 316L.

Implementation standards:

ASTM A789 (ASME SA789)
ASTM A790 (ASME SA790)


Material: S31500 / 3RE60 / 1.4424

The chemical composition of S31500 / 3RE60 / 1.4424 stainless steel is as follows:

C:≤0.03 Si:1.4-2.0 Mn:1.2-2.0 P:≤0.035 S:≤0.015
Cr:18.0- 19.0 Ni:4.5-5.2 Mo:2.50-3.00 N:0.05-0.1


S31500 / 3RE60 / 1.4424 stainless steel mechanical properties:

Tensile strength σb (MPa): ≥590
Conditional yield strength σ0.2 (MPa): ≥390
Elongation δ5 (%): ≥18
Section shrinkage ψ (%): ≥40
