PV DC SPD 20ka-40ka DC Module Surge Protection Device Description:
• BRPV3 PV Surge Protective Device 40KA DC SPD suitable for the new energy wind power generation system, its working voltage covers 600V, 1200V and 1500V.
• The BRPV series Surge Protection are designed to protect against lightning surge voltages in photovoltaic power supply networks.
• It is installed in the main power system at DC circuit, to protect against the indirect lighting current, direct lighting current or other instantaneous over voltage.

PV DC SPD 20ka-40ka DC Module Surge Protection Device Features:
a. Module design, convenient installation, with easy electric maintains operation.

d. The BRPV3-1000 is available for the main operating voltages in photovoltaic: 1200 Vdc.

Overvoltage can hit a PV system in several different ways:
• From the grid if lightning strikes on medium or low voltage conductors
• From the earth if lightning strikes close to the inverter
• From the DC side if lightning strikes the PV modules
• SPDs are thus necessary to protect inverters and other sensitive equipment.
Working principle of product:
In the solar photovoltaic system, the inductive or capacitive coupling voltage is caused by the lightning shock and the switching operation of the upstream power supply system. Therefore, the surge may damage the photovoltaic modules and inverters, which will cause serious consequences for the operation of the photovoltaic system. The photovoltaic lightning arrester is specially developed for this purpose. The lightning protection module of the DC power supply, once the high voltage, and endanger the insulation of the protected equipment, the lightning arrester acts immediately, and the high voltage impact current is directed to the earth, thus limiting the amplitude of the voltage and protecting the insulation of the equipment. When the overvoltage is gone, the arrester is restored to its original state quickly, so as to protect the power equipment.
