How to fit a new Bus Bellow
1. Clean the bead seats on the clamping plate and spring piston
and check that the mounting hardware is free of burr and is not
corroded. Replace if necessary. Apply a soap solution or an approved fitting lubricant to the bead seat on the piston.
2. Push the bellow in below the upper bead and compress it to the width of a hand’s span.
3. Place the folded bellow between the piston and clamping plate.
4. Fix the lower bead to its seat on the piston and the upper bead to its seat on the clamping plate.
5. Pressurize the bellow so that its fit properly between the plate
and piston. The beads should snap in audibly.
6. Lower the vehicle and the bellow will roll automatically down the piston. The spring is now fitted.
