What are Air Suspension Spring Bag ?

Air spring bag can also be called air springs, air shock absorbers and bellows.
Traditional spring struts use steel coil springs, while air spring struts use air springs. This can make our car more comfortable to ride and reduce vibration.

The most common causes of air strut failures are:

1. Air suspension system leak
If the vehicle is parked for a period of time, the body tilts or the front air suspension or the rear air suspension falls to the lowest state; if the air suspension suddenly leaks too much, it will cause the air suspension to be unable to adjust.

(1) Common reasons for air leakage of air suspension are:

① Air leakage of air pipeline, especially air leakage at the interface between the analysis valve body and the air suspension.

②The air spring leaks, mainly because the rubber unwinding piston is cracked or the seal with the shock absorber is poor.

③ The distribution valve body itself leaks air, mainly because the trachea interface or the internal sealing of the valve body is not tight.

2. Air suspension does not lift

If the air suspension doesn't go up and down as you want, the air strut is faulty; maybe the car's instrument air suspension fault light will come on.

The possible reasons why the air suspension cannot be lifted are:

①The signal of the body height sensor is distorted, including the sensor installation is not in place, loose, the sensor circuit failure and the sensor itself failure.

②There may be obvious fault codes that point to the damage of the control unit; there are also no fault codes but the function is invalid, and the fault is eliminated after adjusting the control unit.

③The air compressor control relay is damaged, including contact ablation, pin corrosion or bending; when replacing the air compressor, the relay must be replaced at the same time.

④ Air compressor failure. Check that there is no leakage in the entire system, and troubleshoot after switching the compressor.

⑤The air suspension system enters water, and it cannot be lifted due to icing. Before replacing the compressor, the entire pipeline must be cleaned to ensure that there is no water in the system.

⑥ For other electrical failures, replace them after confirming the cause of the failure according to the guided failure inquiry.

⑦The air suspension system has been replaced or disassembled, and the relevant parts have not been adaptively learned in accordance with the regulations. Such as disassembly and assembly of the lower swing arm, disassembly and assembly of the level sensor, and replacement of the subframe.
