Common quality defects of universal caster steel plate
1, Hot rolled caster steel plate
Roller printing: it is a group of concave convex defects with periodicity, basically the same size and

shape, and the appearance shape is irregular.

2 surface inclusions: there are irregular non-metallic inclusions in the shape of dots, blocks or strips

on the surface of caster steel plate, and their colors are generally reddish brown, yellowish brown,

gray white or gray black.

3 iron oxide scale: the iron oxide scale is generally adhered to the surface of caster steel plate and

distributed locally or completely on the plate surface, in black or reddish brown; Some iron sheets

are loose and fall off, and some are pressed into the plate surface and are not easy to fall off;

According to different appearance shapes, there are red iron sheet, block iron sheet, strip iron

sheet, linear iron sheet, wood grain iron sheet, meteor iron sheet, spindle iron sheet, drag iron

sheet and scattered iron sheet, and their pressing depth is deep or shallow.

4. Uneven thickness: the thickness of each part of caster steel plate is inconsistent, which is called

uneven thickness. For caster steel plate with uneven thickness, the deviation is generally too large,

and the thickness of local caster steel plate exceeds the specified allowable deviation.

5 pitting: there are local or continuous pits on the surface of caster steel plate, which are called

pitting, with different sizes and depths.

6 bubbles: there are irregular circular convex hulls on the surface of caster steel plate, sometimes

in the form of earthworm straight line, with smooth outer edge and gas inside; When the bubble

breaks, it presents irregular fine cracks; Some bubbles are not convex. After leveling, the surface

is bright, and the shear section is layered.

7 folding (folding, wrinkling, edge folding and angle folding): there are locally folded double-layer

metals on the surface of caster steel plate, which are called folding. Its shape is similar to the crack

shape and different depth, and generally presents acute angles on the cross section. Linear folding

along the rolling direction is called straight folding; The folding perpendicular to the rolling direction

is called transverse folding; Folded edges are called folded edges; The difference between folding,

printing and wrinkling mainly lies in the shape and degree of defects, and the degree of hem and

angle is different according to the angle.

8 tower shape (staggered crimping): the upper and lower ends of the steel coil are uneven, and

one circle is higher (or lower) than another. The up-down staggering of crimping is called curling

staggering.

9 loose coil: if the steel coil is not tightly rolled and there is a gap between layers, it is called loose coil.
10 flat coil: the end of the steel coil is oval, which is called flat coil. It is easy to occur in soft or thin

steel coils.

11 sickle bending: the two longitudinal edges of caster steel plate bend to the same side, which looks

like a sickle.

12 wedge: the caster steel plate is thick on one side and thin on the other. From the cross section of

the caster steel plate in the width direction, it is similar to wedge, and the degree of wedge varies.

13 convexity: the caster steel plate is thick in the middle and thin on both sides. From the transverse

end face of the caster steel plate in the width direction, it is similar to arc, and the degree of arc varies.
