How does a hydraulic tail lift work?

Pressure in the cylinder pushes the piston out, which raises the liftgate platform. When the control box switch is turned to the down position, the lower valve coil is activated, allowing fluid to flow from the cylinder back to the reservoir.

Our tailgate lifts are all hydraulic in operation, although they can be mechanical and are controlled by the operator using relay switches.

Using a rear lift eliminates the need to use machinery such as forklifts to load heavy objects onto the vehicle. The tail lift also bridges the height difference between the loading dock and the vehicle loading dock.
